Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
Therapy Innovations (“we”, “us”) operates this website. This policy explains what the website collects and how it is handled.
This policy is not our Notice of Privacy Practices
Therapy Innovations is a healthcare provider. The way we handle your family’s health information as a patient — your child’s records, treatment notes, insurance and billing — is governed by HIPAA and is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is a separate document available from any of our offices. This policy covers only information collected through this website.
Please do not send health information through this website
Our forms are for making initial contact and arranging a conversation. They are not a secure channel for medical information, and they are not monitored continuously.
Do not use this website for anything urgent. If your child needs immediate help, call the office directly or, in an emergency, call 911.
Please do not include diagnoses, treatment details, insurance numbers, or other sensitive medical information in a website form. If you send such information anyway, we will treat it with the same care we give all patient information, but we would rather you shared it with us by phone or in person.
What the website collects
Information you give us
Our Get Started form asks for your name, email address, telephone number, which office you prefer, how and when you would like to be contacted, how you heard about us, which services you are interested in, and anything you choose to write in the message box.
Our Contact form asks for your name, email address, telephone number, and your message.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours records technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site you arrived from. Our security software records IP addresses and failed login attempts in order to protect the site.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange an appointment or a call.
- To send you the newsletter, if you asked for it.
- To keep the website working, secure, and free of abuse.
- To understand in general terms how the website is used, so we can improve it.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.
Who else is involved
Running the website means some information passes through other companies:
- Our web host, which stores the website and anything submitted through it.
- Google, which provides the spam protection on our forms and, where enabled, website analytics.
- Mailchimp, which delivers our newsletter.
- Our website maintenance provider, MRN Web Designs, whose staff may see form submissions in the course of supporting the site.
Each of these handles information under its own terms and only to provide the service we have asked of it.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep a record of the enquiry. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do from any newsletter we send. Security logs are kept for a limited period and then discarded.
Children
Although our services are for children, this website is intended for parents, caregivers and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, please contact us and we will remove it.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. You can control cookies through the Cookie Settings link on this site or through your browser.
Rights over your patient records are handled separately, under HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices, rather than under this policy.
Security
This website uses encryption, and we take reasonable measures to protect information submitted through it. No website can be guaranteed completely secure, which is another reason we ask you not to send medical details this way.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.

Cookie Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
This page explains what cookies are, which ones this website uses, and how to control them. Cookies are small files a website stores on your device so it can remember things between pages and visits.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner asks whether to accept cookies. Only the necessary ones are set before you choose. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Settings link, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Declining anything other than the necessary cookies will not stop you using the site.
The categories we use
Necessary
These make the site work: keeping track of your session, remembering your cookie choice, and protecting forms against automated abuse. The site cannot function properly without them, so they are set regardless of your choice.
Functional
These remember preferences so the site behaves consistently for you, such as details you have already entered in a form.
Performance
These help us understand how the site performs — for instance how quickly pages load — so we can fix problems.
Analytics
These tell us, in aggregate, which pages people visit and how they found us. We use this to decide what to improve. We do not use it to identify you individually.
Others
Occasionally a cookie does not fit the categories above, usually because it is set by an embedded service such as a video. Anything in this group is listed in our cookie settings panel.
Cookies set by other companies
Some cookies are set by services we rely on rather than by us directly:
- Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms from spam. It needs to distinguish people from automated scripts, which involves Google receiving some information about your visit.
- Google Analytics, where enabled, provides the aggregate statistics described above.
These companies set their cookies under their own privacy terms, which we do not control.
Turning cookies off in your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings, usually under Privacy. Blocking all cookies will affect how this and most other websites behave.

Terms of Use
Last updated: 27 August 2026
These terms apply to your use of this website. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
This website is not medical advice
The information here is general and educational. Developmental milestones, therapy approaches and similar material are provided to help families understand what we do. They are not a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or advice about your individual child.
Every child is different. Nothing on this site should replace an evaluation by a qualified therapist or a conversation with your paediatrician.
If your child needs urgent help, call the office or, in an emergency, call 911. Do not use this website.
No therapist-patient relationship
Reading this site, or sending us a message through it, does not by itself make you our patient. A therapeutic relationship begins when we have agreed to provide services and completed the necessary paperwork.
Using the site
You may read our pages, and print or share them for personal, non-commercial use. Please do not copy our content for use elsewhere, attempt to disrupt the site, submit anything unlawful, or use our forms to send bulk or automated messages.
Our content
The text, photographs, logos and design on this site belong to Therapy Innovations or are used with permission. Please ask before reproducing them.
Links to other sites
We sometimes link to other organisations because we think their information is useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Availability
We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will always be either. We may change or remove content at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.

Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 27 August 2026
Therapy Innovations works with children who have a wide range of communication, sensory, motor and learning needs. It matters to us that our website is usable by their families too, including those who use assistive technology.
What we are aiming for
We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard commonly used to judge whether a website is accessible.
Where we currently stand
We are partially conformant: most of the site meets the standard, and some areas do not yet.
We know about the following and are working through them:
- Some images do not yet have text alternatives for screen reader users. We are adding these.
- Some older pages use layouts that read less predictably on small screens.
We would rather say this plainly than claim a level of conformance we have not reached.
What the site does support
- Navigation by keyboard, without a mouse.
- Text that reflows when enlarged, up to 200%.
- Headings and landmarks that let screen reader users move through a page.
- Colour contrast that meets the AA threshold for body text.
If something does not work for you
Please tell us. If you cannot reach information on this site, we will provide it another way — by telephone, by email, or in print at any of our offices.
