Referral Process, Insurance & Payment Options
Getting started at Therapy Innovations is simple. Once we receive a referral, our team will obtain any required order or documentation from your child’s physician, verify insurance benefits and coverage, and determine whether authorization is needed. Once those steps are complete, we can schedule your child’s initial evaluation and guide you through the next steps in care.

Therapy Innovations is in-network with many major insurance plans, including:

- Blue Cross Blue Shield
- CHAMPVA
- Cigna
- Meritain
- UMR
- UnitedHealthcare
- NC Medicaid
- All North Carolina Medicaid Managed Care plans
We are also TRICARE-certified and work with referring physicians to obtain authorization when required.
Private-pay and reduced cash-rate options
Some of the specialized services and programs offered through Therapy Innovations may not be covered by insurance and are available as private-pay services. We also offer a reduced cash-pay rate for direct therapy services for families who choose not to use insurance or whose plan does not provide coverage.
