Lauren is a physical therapist who grew up in Raleigh and currently lives there with her wonderful husband and three cats. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Wingate University in 2019, and she received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015. She has previous work experience in the Early Intervention 0-3 population specializing in early development of gross motor and functional mobility skills. She has experience working with children with a variety of diagnoses including, but not limited to torticollis, autism, hypotonia/hypertonia, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, prematurity, arthrogryposis, genetic disorders, down syndrome, toe walking, and neurological disorders. She has worked with children in the home, daycare, and outpatient clinic settings. Lauren has attended specialized courses in Treating Torticollis, Kinesiology Taping for Pediatrics, Positioning Movement During Play, Adaptive Yoga, and Treating Toe Walking and Connecting the Sensory Dots. She has extensive experience working with families to write letters of medical necessity to get insurance approval for adaptive equipment including braces, wheelchairs, gait trainers, walkers, bath chairs, and activity/feeding chairs.

Prior to receiving her doctorate, she was a nanny for a family with four girls, two of whom had special needs. This is when she was introduced to pediatric therapy, and she realized quickly it was what she wanted to pursue in life. While in school, she participated in a weekly inclusive dance class encouraging the participation of children with all needs and their families.

Lauren is passionate about providing quality care to the pediatric population and has a special interest in neurodevelopmental disorders, cerebral palsy, developmental delay, torticollis, infant development, and Down Syndrome. She is a devoted physical therapist whose personal goals are to provide quality care to the children in her community to help them reach their highest level of function and potential. She aims to promote growth and development, form lasting partnerships with children and their families, provide adaptive and inclusive community activities, and encourage family education to promote function and improve quality of life. She performs evaluations in the Angier office, and sees clients for treatment sessions in the Angier office.
