Little Explorers
Get ready to squish, smell, mix, create, and explore!

Little Explorers is a 4-week sensory-based food camp designed for children who are picky eaters, hesitant to try new foods, or have strong reactions to certain textures, smells, colors, or tastes.
Through games, messy play, art projects, sensory activities, and creative food exploration, children will get to experience food in fun and unexpected ways—without pressure to eat. Our goal is to help make food feel less stressful and more approachable while building comfort, curiosity, and confidence one small step at a time.
Each week brings a new adventure! Activities are guided by the SOS Approach to Feeding hierarchy, which recognizes that learning to eat is a gradual process. Campers may:
- Paint, stamp, build, and create with food
- Play silly food-themed games and challenges
- Squish, scoop, pour, mix, smell, and explore different textures
- Make simple snacks and food creations
- Explore new foods at their own comfort level
- Practice having less-preferred foods nearby, on their plate, or in their hands
- Build confidence alongside other children in a fun, supportive setting
There is no pressure to take a bite. Children are encouraged to participate at their own pace while our therapy team helps make food exploration positive, playful, and successful.
Little Explorers turns food exploration into an adventure! Over four weeks, children will build sensory tolerance and confidence through play, creativity, and hands-on experiences with a variety of foods. By taking the pressure off eating and putting the FUN into exploring, we help children create more positive connections with food and take meaningful steps toward expanding what they are comfortable around—and eventually willing to try.
