Why Therapy Innovations?

Since 2007, Therapy Innovations has provided a fresh, family-centered approach to pediatric therapy. What began with a vision to create more collaborative, engaging, and functional therapy has grown into three multidisciplinary clinics offering speech-language, feeding, AAC, occupational, and physical therapy services.

Today, we continue to focus on what has always mattered most: helping children build meaningful skills, empowering families, and creating therapy experiences that carry over into real life.

A Message from Beth

Beth Richardson, founder and owner of Therapy Innovations

When I started Therapy Innovations, I wanted to create more than a place where children came for therapy. I wanted to create a place where families felt supported, heard, and truly part of the process.

As a therapist, and as someone who has spent years walking alongside children and families, I believe one of the most important things we can do is meet children where they are, recognize their strengths, and help them reach for all of the potential that is uniquely theirs. Progress does not look the same for every child, and it shouldn’t. Our job is to understand each child, celebrate the small victories, build on what they can do, and help families see what is possible.

I also want families to feel empowered to advocate for their children. Therapy should never feel like something that simply happens behind a closed door. We want parents and caregivers to understand their child’s needs, feel confident asking questions, and have practical strategies they can carry into home, school, and everyday life. When families are informed and empowered, they become an even stronger voice for their child.

I am incredibly proud of how much Therapy Innovations has grown, but I am even more proud of the people behind it. Our therapists care deeply about the children they serve, celebrate their successes, problem-solve through their challenges, and continually look for ways to help them become more confident, capable, and independent.

At the end of the day, that is what Therapy Innovations has always been about: meeting children where they are, helping families find their voice, and working together to discover just how much is possible.

What Makes Therapy Innovations Different?

At Therapy Innovations, we believe great therapy is about more than working on a goal during an appointment. It is about understanding the whole child, partnering with families, and helping skills carry over into everyday life.

One Team, Many Specialties

Our speech-language, feeding, AAC, occupational, and physical therapy teams work collaboratively to support the whole child. When appropriate, therapists communicate across disciplines, share ideas, and build on one another’s strengths so families receive coordinated, thoughtful care.

Families Are Part of the Team

Caregivers know their children best. We value their input, encourage questions, and work to give families practical strategies they can use outside of therapy. Our goal is not only to help children grow, but also to help families feel informed, confident, and empowered to advocate for their child.

Spaces That Invite Kids to Move, Explore & Grow

Our clinics are designed with children in mind. Sensory gyms, swings, climbing equipment, movement spaces, feeding areas, and specialized therapy tools give our therapists the flexibility to make sessions active, engaging, and individualized.

We Meet Children Where They Are

Every child develops differently. We focus on strengths, respect individual differences, and build from each child’s current abilities. Progress may look different from one child to another, and we celebrate every meaningful step forward.

Fun Has a Purpose

We believe children learn best when they are engaged. Play, movement, laughter, imagination, and connection are all important parts of the therapy process. Sessions can be fun while still being intentional, skilled, and goal-driven.

Beyond the Clinic

Being community focused is one of our Core Values. Through community partnerships, caregiver education, screenings, camps, groups, workshops, consultation services, and our mobile therapy bus, we continue looking for ways to bring support and resources to children and families beyond our clinic walls.

We Keep Looking for What’s Possible

Innovation is part of our name for a reason. We are always exploring new programs, specialized services, therapeutic approaches, and community opportunities that can better meet the changing needs of the children and families we serve.
