Teletherapy

Teletherapy

We are excited to announce that we are now offering teletherapy services. Our teletherapy services open up an exciting world of possibilities for both families and children across North Carolina. Teletherapy (or telepractice as also known as) is the online delivery of therapy services via two-way video conferencing. Therapy sessions are nearly identical to traditional therapy sessions except for one major exception……. Instead of sitting together in the same room, students and therapists interact via live video conferencing.

Here at Therapy Innovations, we use TheraPlatform which is the best HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform designed for private practice. Not only is TheraPlatform fully HIPPA compliant, but it offers high-quality video and audio, accessibility from EVERYWHERE, a whiteboard that can be “shared” and fun and engaging interactive apps and games for children.

We are currently using teletherapy to provide reading intervention and speech-language therapy services across North Carolina. For some clients, it’s a great option for occupational therapy as well!

Telepractice allows speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists to deliver professional services to clients via video phone or video conferencing software. Telepractice may be used to overcome barriers of access to services caused by distance, unavailability of specialists and/or subspecialists, and impaired mobility.
