Elissa Alexander M.A., CCC-SLP Speech Language Pathologist
Elissa Alexander M.A., CCC-SLP, is originally from Ohio and moved in 2017 with her husband and three young boys to North Carolina. She earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Recreation Therapy from the University of Toledo in Ohio in 2003. Elissa received her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in May of 2017. She is licensed by N.C. Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and also has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Elissa has experience evaluating and treating children and adults with a variety of expressive and receptive language delays, stuttering, childhood apraxia of speech, and articulation disorders. She has a special interest in working with children with stuttering disorders and feeding and swallowing disorders to help ensure optimal quality of life and reach their communication and/or feeding goals. Elissa is dedicated to working with families to help ensure the success of each child and to meet their individual needs. In addition, Elissa is skilled in providing stuttering therapy via a teletherapy platform. For fun, she stays busy watching her children play sports and enjoys spending time traveling and relaxing at the beach.
